Indianapolis

Last week I was traveling around meeting several clients. It was an adventure of traveling for sure! I had a 5:30pm flight out of LGA in New York and boarded the plane, got in line on the runway, only to hear the pilot annouce we had 61 planes in front of us and oh, by the way, FAA requires you to keep your seat belt on! No joke, we sat on the runway 3 hours! Of course I was flying into Kentucky and missed my connection to Omaha, Nebraska!

No other flights until the following day in which none of them would get me to Omaha in time for the meeting. So I spent a day in Kentucky and handled my meeting remote. Tons of issues changing the flights over, skipping a leg of the trip, etc., so I ended up driving from Kentucky to Indianapolis, a little over 200 miles.

Indianapolis was fun! We had a great dinner and hung out at a Cigar Bar later in the night. Lots of nice monuments, a really nice canal that we walked, and a great meeting in an awesome office! It was a converted fire station from the early 1900's!

I stayed at The Canterbury, a European boutique type hotel. It was lovely! Great room, awesome service, and I was welcomed with gold boxes of truffles on my bed.

Leaving Indianapolis I flew into Chicago and spent some time only to leave and go back to Newark, NJ. On the flight I met a nice older gentlemen and we talked about real estate investing, his travels, and most importantly great company for the 2 hour flight. We exchanged e-mails and have since exchanged a few e-mails.

Travel is fun but 3 hour delays on the run-way suck!
