GM Performance Tuning was founded in 2001 as Grand AM Power. Grand AM Power was sold in late 2002 to a company in California which essentially killed the site a few years later. GM Performance Tuning was a spin-off site started in late 2002 that has grown to over 4,000 registered members across the entire globe. The website is completely ran my the members in the form of an on-line discussion forum. Over 70,000 posts exists and that number grows rapidly. We do our best to focus on quality and informative discussions, which has stunted the growth of the website slightly because we constantly purge old content that isn't relevant to the website. GMPT has been published in several industry magazines, including Sports Compact Car and Domestic Tuners.
